The Aim of the Game
The players play against each other. The aim is to produce the best possible 5-card hand from 2 face-down cards and 5 face-up cards.

How to play
Each player receives 2 cards dealt face down. Then 5 cards are placed in the middle of the board, face up, which can be used by everybody. The aim is to produce the best hand possible using the 2 face-down cards and the 5 face-up ones. Before each round, the person sitting to the left of the dealer button places the small blind bet, and the person to his/her left places the big blind bet. The people who must place the blinds change each round. The first round starts with the person to the left of the big blind, who can choose between folding, calling, or betting. Each player gives his/her decision in turn until the big blind. Once all of the players have bet the same amount, or have folded, the croupier turns over 3 cards. A new betting round begins with the player nearest to the left of the dealer button. Once all of the players have bet the same amount, or folded, the croupier turns over 1 card.  Then there is a final round, in which the croupier turns over a last card.  After this round, the croupier compares the various hands and attributes the pot to the winner.

Actions
Fold: give the cards back to the croupier and withdraw from the betting round.
Check: is considered as a 0 bet, the player can stay in the game if nobody has placed a bet.
Call: match the amount of the other players’ bets.
Bet: make a bet by adding to the pot.
Raise: increase a bet already made.

Some definitions
Blind bet: compulsory bet on each round before receiving the cards. 
Dealer button: marker that decides the direction of the game and the blinds.
